How we handle data
No hidden terms: what the service needs, what is public and how to ask for a correction or deletion.
What we collect
We process the details you enter in adoption applications, alert subscriptions, Lost & Found reports, QR tags, the vet chat and partnership enquiries: contact details, city, description, pet information, message text and uploaded photos. Security logs and a session identifier are also processed.
Services and sensitive messages
The vet chat stores the text you enter and its response in the Qaz.pet database and uses a local knowledge base, not an external diagnostic service. Do not include a person's or animal's name, phone, address or document details unless they are necessary to assess urgency. Google sign-in is used only when the user chooses it.
What other people can see
Lost & Found shows a city, animal description and only contacts that the author explicitly agreed to publish. Exact addresses are not published and full names are shortened to a first name. A shelter card may show that an animal is microchipped, but the unique chip number is never public.
Why we use it
Data is used to process an application, contact a report author, operate the private management link and prevent spam. Qaz.pet does not sell personal data.
Retention and control
Lost & Found reports are automatically hidden from the public list after 90 days; this does not delete the record. For completed rehoming workflows, a separate task can redact contacts and free text 90 days after closure when the operator enables it. No automatic deletion period is yet confirmed for other applications, subscriptions, vet-chat messages or enquiries; deletion can be requested at the address below.
Infrastructure and external services
Qaz.pet may use Google for user-selected sign-in, an email provider for notifications and shared QazStack services for compute and geography. Before new personal-data intake is enabled, the operator must separately confirm Kazakhstan storage for the database and files, the recipient list and cross-border transfer terms.
Usage statistics
On public pages, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity may load after an interaction or a short delay. They do not load on private-link, sign-in, administration or personal-data entry pages; form-content recording is disabled. Qaz.pet respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.
Important boundaries
Qaz.pet is not a shelter, veterinary clinic or payment processor. Do not send money, documents or codes to strangers; the shelter or owner makes the final transfer decision.
If you are under 18
Ask a parent, guardian or another trusted adult to help publish a report, and never publish someone else's contact details without consent. If a person or an animal is in immediate danger, contact emergency services and local animal welfare organisations.
Correction and deletion
To withdraw consent, access, correct or delete your data, email us with the report's private link, your application number or subscription address: contact@qaz.pet.
Notice version: 25 August 2026. The database owner's legal name and address must be published before new personal-data intake is enabled.
